Karena is a dance instructor with 15 years of training in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Flamenco, Ballroom, Street Salsa, and Argentine Tango. After miraculously recovering from a decade-long neuro-immune illness — a journey that forged her resilience and deepened her faith — she recently returned to teaching with a renewed passion for equipping others. Through her own healing, Karena developed a love for holistic wellness and now encourages others facing medical challenges to pursue hope and health. She co-owns a gym with her husband, where she mentors and supports the women on their team, helping them grow personally and professionally. She also hosts and organizes women’s gatherings for Bible study and prayer, believing in the importance of mentoring and uplifting the next generation. This year, Karena trained in multiple forms of self-defense with Randy and discovered a new sense of strength and confidence. She now finds joy in helping to create transformative spaces where women can learn to protect themselves and is developing a self-defense accessory designed specifically for women’s safety.
