Grier Neilson

Grier Neilson is a soul-led director, creative alchemist, and the visionary behind Bohemian Ekko Creative, Adelaide based multi faceted artist, using photography as her main tool she is dedicated to capturing the essence, evolution, and embodied power of women through storytelling, art, and transformation. With over 30 years of experience across beauty, makeup artistry, body painting, photography, artisan and stage wardrobe, Grier’s work is where art meets ritual and image becomes legacy.

Her portraits are portals — not just images, but energetic reflections.

With 13 years as a Personal Branding Photographer, Grier has built a reputation for creating soul-aligned imagery that reflects her clients’ truth, depth, and presence, her storytelling from behind the lens is authentic and heart lead.

As the creator of Flock50, a global portrait movement restoring visibility to women in their 50s and beyond, Grier is challenging outdated narratives and creating a living archive of feminine wisdom. Through her lens, women are not posed — they are witnessed.

Her work has received national recognition, with features on The Morning Show, SA Life Magazine, Fifty Plus, The Advertiser, and ABC Radio. She is the author of Flock50 and is currently working on its sequel, Flock50 Rising, as well as a co-author in the Backyard Peace Project Anthology.

This growing body of work has earned Grier multiple awards, including Silver for Global Impact at the 2025 AusMumpreneur Awards.

Flock50 is not just art — it’s activism. A portion of book sales supports Pink Lotus Australia, raising funds for women reclaiming their confidence post-breast surgery.

Grier also works one-on-one with clients on a unique  immersive experience Feathered, that integrates the wild Australian landscape and the feminine form. It invites women to strip away the bark that society has placed upon them — and return to the truth of who they are in nature. Her work offers more than imagery. It offers initiation.

Her clients span all ages — from women in business to those celebrating or capturing life-changing moments, including journeys through dis-ease, transformation, and personal rebirth.

Known for her intuitive presence and ability to reflect women back to themselves, Grier’s clients describe their experience as healing, powerful, and often life-changing. She doesn’t just take photos — she alchemises them. Every frame becomes a reclamation.

At the core of it all is one belief:
Visibility is power
and when women see themselves clearly, they become unstoppable.
