Hi, I’m Karina Solomon — Midlife Reinvention & Intimacy Specialist, Author, Coach, Educator, and lifelong explorer of what makes us feel most alive, connected, and true to ourselves.
I work with successful women, men, and couples over 45 who are navigating major life shifts — divorce, empty nest, grief, or simply that inner whisper asking, “Is this it?” — and help them create rockstar relationships, starting with the one they have with themselves.
My path here hasn’t exactly been linear — more like a beautifully messy mosaic, starting with my first 14 months traveling around Europe in a VW bug with my parents.
Before “gap years” were popular, I hitchhiked along the Hippie Trail from Munich to Kathmandu. I was just 18 and my older (!) boyfriend was 20 — (yes, really, and I even wrote a book about it!). That experience cracked open my sense of wonder, courage, and what it means to chart your own path — themes that have guided my life ever since.
I earned my degree in Education and Counseling from the University of Vermont, but quickly discovered that I was more interested in helping people wake up to their real lives than managing hall passes and middle school mayhem.
After moving to San Francisco in the 1980s, I dove headfirst into the world of personal development — starting with the EST training, and later, tantra and intimacy work. Those experiences lit a fire in me — and I’ve been walking the path of transformation (and entrepreneurship) ever since.
I’ve worn many hats over the years:
Image consultant
Relationship coach
Workshop facilitator
Speaker
Grief counselor (I’m hospice-trained)
I’m also the proud creator of Men, Sex & Money®, a wildly popular course that helps women explore intimacy, self-worth, and healthy relationships.
I developed my Clear the Canvas Method™, a 7-step process to help people release emotional baggage from past relationships and boldly design what comes next.
I’ve been blessed with a successful, soulful marriage — and an amicable, conscious divorce. My former husband and I are still dear friends, and I’m a very proud Grammy to my stepson’s two delightful little boys. Nothing like toddler wisdom to keep your heart wide open.
And since starting over in my mid-50s was not easy, I wrote Sexy, Sassy, & Starting Over as an offering to others going through midlife transitions.
I’ve also walked through messy transitions. I lost my mother to cancer in my 20s, and I’m a two-time breast cancer survivor myself. Each loss and challenge has taught me how to stay soft without falling apart, and how to keep showing up — especially when life doesn’t go according to plan.
After four decades in California, I now call Boulder, Colorado home — and I absolutely love it here. Mountains, fresh air, and men who ski, own hiking boots, and feelings? Yes, please.
Now in my late 60s, I bring a whole lot of heart, hard-won wisdom, and humor to my work.
My clients are typically high-functioning humans who are successful in most areas of life — except when it comes to love, connection, or intimacy. That’s where I come in.
Whether you’re freshly divorced, mid-reinvention, feeling stuck in a relationship, or just craving a more turned-on version of your life — I’m here to help.
You’re not too old.
It’s not too late.
And there’s nothing wrong with you.
You just haven’t been given the right tools. Yet.
Let’s talk.
