Valerie is a former Air Force officer who began life as a child-at-risk in a Chicago ghetto. Her own tough Army veteran mother instilled in her a thriver-based definition of “tough”; today Valerie is known for her “TUFF Mama” savvy. She is an author, adjunct and multi-disciplinary instructor and entrepreneur. She sees all women as “TUFF Mamas” and equips them to live a most positive and powerful version of themselves.
Serving numerously as a Toastmasters International (TI) club president and being appointed a TI coach for female inmates in a Texas federal
prison, Valerie’s specialty is helping women see their worth and “land on their feet”, while finding their voices.
A mettle-tested “TUFF Mama” of 9, Valerie transformed her military mindset and degrees into nurture growth skills not only for clients, but also for her family . Her adult children, one a Jackie Robinson Scholar and others athletic and academic highfliers, all directly testify to her keenest influence.
Professionally, Valerie does empowerment parent coaching and formally equips military parents from her Family Life Educator role.
