Kelly Gallagher is a Philadelphia native and holds a master’s degree in Special Education. Kelly, dynamic philanthropist and passionate advocate, founded of The Superhero Project in 2015. This 501c3 organization supports premature babies and their families, which started shortly after the premature birth of her twin sons in 2014. Kelly was named the 2016 KYW Women’s Achievement Rising Star Winner, which recognizes women under 40 making a difference in their communities.
The Superhero Project has been a cornerstone for families navigating the NICU. She speaks to families and provides them with the emotional and financial support needed in a time of crisis. The Superhero Project has donated over $100,000 for hospitals to purchase Angel Eye Cameras for their NICU beds. These cameras allow families to connect with their babies 24/7 via a remote and secure feed. Kelly has allowed her experience in the NICU to transform the role of the family unit and help bridge the gap between home and hospital. She currently blogs for the maternity company Ingrid and Isabel. Kelly has also been an elementary teacher for the past 16 years. She is married to her high school sweetheart and lives in North Wales, PA with her four small children.
